Re:act Campaign

For this project, I was tasked with creating a campaign for the RE:ACT program, a program that encourages students to learn about and spread the word on safe driving. This campaign was meant to encourage users to be fully aware and focused while they drive. The campaign included a slogan and billboard design.

After concluding my research on distracted driving, I learned a lot about how distracted driving affects people my age, and how many people I know personally have had negative experiences with distracted drivers or pedestrians. I started brainstorming possible stories and slogans that are clever and eye catching to match this. The following are my first drafts:

After presenting my first drafts, I received some feedback to make billboard more positive and less wordy. I decided to try out some new designs and slogans, ones that were more positive and focused on encouraging the viewer to minimize distractions and shift their focus to the road.

I also created a mockup of my favorite campaign to see how it would look like in real life.

After I finished my billboard designs, I was tasked with creating a potential website landing page for one of my billboards. I chose the “It Can Wait” campaign because it was a favorite among my peers and I felt it was the most straightforward campaign. I used figma to create a page where viewers can learn more about the reality and statistics behind distracted driving, and they can also receive some advice on how to avoid it.
