Brushes N Brews

For this project in my advanced graphic design course, I was tasked with creating a coffee brand from scratch. I wanted to do something that felt personal, so I pulled inspiration from my favorite artists and coffee shops and started thinking about how to combine those two worlds.

I began by researching different café brands and visual styles, then built out mood boards to explore how art-driven spaces use color, texture, and typography. From there, I sketched out a few initial concepts and landed on Brushes N Brews, an art-themed café centered around hand-drawn design and creativity.

Once I had the concept, I moved into developing the brand identity. I experimented a lot with illustration styles, lettering, and packaging ideas to create something that felt playful and handmade. A big focus was making sure every touchpoint, like cups, menus, and merch, felt consistent while still highlighting the hand-drawn aspect of the brand.

Throughout the process, I got feedback from my professor and classmates, which helped me refine the concept and push it further. This project really let me explore a more expressive side of design while also thinking through how a brand lives across different applications.
