My second major individual project at IRUSA was designing the 2026 calendar that would be sent out to donors, staff, and volunteers. Since it’s something people keep all year, I wanted it to feel thoughtful and visually interesting, not just functional.

I started by thinking about the overall concept and how each month could feel cohesive while still having its own moment. I put together some quick mood boards and sketched out a few layout ideas to explore different directions. Because I had a lot of creative freedom on this project, I experimented with color palettes, typography, and imagery to create something that felt both on-brand and a bit more expressive.

As I moved into designing the full calendar, I focused on consistency across all 12 months while still keeping things engaging. I paid close attention to layout structure, spacing, and how the dates interacted with the visuals so everything felt clean and easy to use. There was a lot of back-and-forth in refining details, like making sure each page felt balanced and that the overall flow of the calendar worked as a complete piece.

This project was a really fun chance to take full creative ownership from start to finish. Seeing the final calendar come together and hearing that it was well loved by the team made it especially rewarding.
